DVD Reviews: Preston Sturges was one of the true geniuses of American film -- his slim output included six amazing films in four years (1941-44) -- yet most of his films are still unavailable on DVD. Criterion's release of "Unfaithfully Yours" is thus reason to celebrate. There aren't a lot of extras, but what's there is choice.

The advent of pirated discs across his homeland meant his work and those of fellow Chinese artists were being stolen. But, as Jia observes in an interview, it also meant that his films could be seen by a wider public.

DVD Reviews: Today's latenight plugathons bear scant resemblance to the wondrously dated offerings served up in "The Dick Cavett Show: Rock Icons." Built around musical perfs by the likes of Jefferson Airplane, George Harrison, Janis Joplin and Paul Simon, Shout Factory's three-disc set showcases much more than that.
